Qualifications are non-negotiable on our team, and we hold ourselves to a higher standard than most.
For starters, we have our own Redefining Strength Certification, accredited by the leading bodies in the industry: the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). It's used by trainers worldwide for their continuing education.
Beyond that, our coaching team is built from credentialed experts, not just certified trainers. We're highly selective when we hire (the last time we expanded, we brought on under 3% of applicants), and our team includes:
Registered Dietitians (RDs)
Coaches holding master's and doctoral degrees in fields like Kinesiology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Exercise Science, and Physical Therapy
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists (CSCS), Corrective Exercise Specialists, and Functional Fitness Coaches
Mindset and behavior change specialists
Coaches with specialized training in menopause, pre/postnatal, injury recovery, plant-based nutrition, and endurance
Because our team grows and evolves, the best place to see current credentials is our live team page. You can meet the whole team at redefiningstrength.com/meet-the-team
About our founder
Redefining Strength was founded in 2014 by Cori Lefkowith, a Division I tennis player and state powerlifting champion. Her signature coaching method is now a published book, The Strong System, released through Victory Belt Publishing in 2026 and an Amazon bestseller.
Redefining Strength's coaching methods have been recognized by The Guardian as one of the top home training programs, and the company has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies twice.
So to put it simply: yes, our team is qualified, and it's something we take pride in.
